Yes! Non-training guests, such as spouses, family members, or friends, are absolutely welcome to join this incredible experience. Even if your companion is not a martial artist, they will have plenty to enjoy, from relaxing on the private beach and indulging in spa treatments to exploring the island, joining group activities, and experiencing Boracay’s world-class nightlife. Most importantly, traveling with our group provides an added layer of safety and convenience. Our team will help guide them through the country, ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for throughout the trip.

Our community is welcoming, and we make sure that everyone - whether training or not - feels included and part of the adventure. This is more than just a camp - it’s an unforgettable experience, and we’d love for you to share it with those closest to you!

Question 21: Do I need travel insurance for the camp?

Yes, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip to the Philippine Warriors Camp. Travel insurance provides protection in case of unexpected events, such as flight cancellations, medical emergencies, lost baggage, or unforeseen travel delays.

For coverage, you can purchase travel insurance from well-known providers such as World Nomads, Allianz Travel, SafetyWing, Travel Guard, or your credit card provider if they offer travel protection. Be sure to choose a policy that includes medical coverage, trip cancellations, and emergency assistance while traveling abroad.

Having travel insurance ensures peace of mind so you can fully enjoy your trip without worry.

Question 22: What currency is used in the Philippines, and how far will my money go?

The official currency in the Philippines is the Philippine Peso (PHP). While some major hotels and businesses accept credit cards and USD, most local establishments, markets, and transportation services only accept pesos. We recommend exchanging some cash upon arrival or using ATMs, which are widely available in Manila and Boracay.

One of the great advantages of visiting the Philippines is that the cost of living is relatively low compared to many Western countries. Your money will go much further, allowing you to enjoy high-quality dining, activities, and services at a fraction of the price you might pay elsewhere. For example:

• A local meal can cost around $3 to $7 USD.

• A mid-range restaurant meal might be $10 to $15 USD per person.

• A massage by the beach is around $10 to $20 USD for a full hour.

• Transportation, souvenirs, and other services are also very affordable.

Bringing some small bills for tipping and small purchases is recommended, as many places may not have change for large denominations. ATMs and money exchange centers are available, but having some pesos on hand is always good for convenience.
